ウラジオストク支部は1990年に活動を始めました。最初のころに他流派の空手をやっていたですが大道塾の存在を知って、東先生と交信を始めて、だんだん大道塾に変わってきました。
1991年にロシア連邦沿海州法務局から正式的な登録を受けて、同年に大道塾総本部で海外支部第１号として認可されました。それ以来に大道塾は沿海州をはじめとしてロシア各地で爆発的に発展しています。その原因は大道塾の本質であろう。一般の人が強くなれる、普通の仕事をしながら空手の練習を通じて精神的に、体力的に、人間的に成長でき、プロの選手に負けないぐらいのレベルを達するという、いわゆる社会体育、東先生の思想はロシアで多くの人の心で反響を見つけました。その大道塾の思想は人個人､個人だけではなく政府機関、教育機関の注目を当然のように引きました。ロシアは今大変な時期を乗り越えつつあるが国民を幸せにするには経済を安定させる他に人を統一させて心のきれいで、総合的に強い人を育てる必要があります。大道塾はその目標には一番応じていると政府機関から好評受けて前面的な支持与えられました。
大道塾ウラジオストク支部の発展に一番大きな貢献をしたのはオソキン支部長です。彼は1994年に支部長の認定受けて、3ヶ月間東京の総本部で修行を重ねてその成果を地元の道場で十分に活かせました。1998年に参段に合格しました。
オソキンの最初の一歩は大道塾少年青年スポーツ学校の成立でした。1996年に少年青年総合学校の中で大道塾部が設けられ、そこで3人の指導員が働きはじめました。ロシアでは青年スポーツ学校はスポーツ委員会に所属してその職員や指導員などは市か州の予算から給与されています。1997年の1月から指導員の人数を10人まで増やすことができました。
1998年に少年青年大道塾部を基づいて完全に政府に融資されている大道塾少年青年スポーツ学校を独立校として設立しました。現在そこで国家スポーツ委員会に認可された25人の指導員の下で7歳〜18歳のこどもは2000人以上大道塾を学んでいます。
教育機関も大道塾に大きな興味を示してきました。1999年の5月にウラジオストク支部は極東国立大学と公的契約を結びました。この契約に基づいて公式指導員を目指す道場生から毎年3人が無料で大学に入学できます。第一期にシボプリャス（弐段）、ボロディー（弐段）、グリゴリエフ（初段）この三人が学生になりました。
1999年の6月にオソキン支部長は沿海州地方政府のスポーツ資格検定委員会の一員に選ばれました。この委員会はスポーツに関わっている行事を管理しています。その中でスポーツ種目に分かれていて、オソキンはスポーツ格闘技（レスリング、サンボ、柔道、空手、ボクシング、など）担当と任命されました。
彼は大道塾をもっと広げるため、大道塾の概念をより理解されるため初めてのロシア語大道塾教科書を作成して2000年の初めに極東国立大学の印刷所で出版しました。こういった貢献を評価され2000年5月１日にロシア連邦政府から（命令状＃53PR）ロシア社会体育とスポーツの発展功労のため勲章をあたえられました。2001年の３月にオソキン支部長はロシア体育団体の会議の参加者に選ばれました。
極東国立大学は最近社会体育社会福祉をより発展させる方針を選び体育カレッジを設置してその中で2000年の９月１日からコーチ−格闘空手大道塾指導員という学科が開きました。現在3人の指導員はウラジオストクの高等教育機関で大道塾を教えています：
セミピャツノフ（初段）− ウラジオストク国立経済，サービス業大学
ボエフ（初段）− 太平洋海軍大学
シボプリャス（弐段）− 極東国立大学
2000年にウラジオストク支部理事会が成立されて、沿海州副知事、大統領沿海州代表者のクゾフさんは理事長として選ばれました。彼は昨年日本を訪れ無差別大会の時に東塾長の手から名誉段をいただきました。
ウラジオストク支部の皆さんはこうやって東塾長の社会体育の概念を守りながらそれが事実になるために努力しています。大道塾のすばらしさをできるだけ多くの人に紹介してこれからも精神的に、体力的に強い立派な社会人を育てるように頑張ります。
Vladivostok branch has started its activity in 1990. Initially they were practicing a different style of karate, but after leading instructor learned about existence of Daido-Juku he started to correspond with Azuma-jukuchou, which led him to an understanding of Daido-Juku and beginning of this style. In 1991 the branch has passed the official registration at the corresponding federal authority of Primorie territory, and in the same year it was recognized at the central headquarter in Tokyo as a overseas branch No 1. This became a starting point for the explosive development of Daido-Juku not just in Primorie territory, but all over the Russia.
The reason for this explosion is due to the concept of Daido-Juku itself. The main concept behind daido-Juku is simply that the ordinary person can become really strong, he doesnﾕt have to become a professional fighter-monster; while doing his job, through the study of karate he can improve his spirit, body and characters and become as strong as a professional athlete.
This idea of physical education in society has appealed to many world-wide. The idea of making any member of society strong and moral naturally attracted not only individuals, but also authorities and educational bodies. Since the collapse of Soviet Union, Russia has experienced difficult times. To improve the life of common people the stabilization of economy is not enough, it is necessary to unite the nation and raise a generation of physically and mentally healthy people. As Daido-Juku responses to this goal completely, it has received overall support from the governmental bodies.
The biggest contribution to development of Daido-Juku in Russian Far East was made by the branch-chief Valerii Osokin. He has occupied this post in 1994. In March of the same year he visited Japanese headquarters and spent 3 months there carefully studying the training process, which allowed him to apply his knowledge in his Dojyou. In 1998 he was attested to 3rd degree black belt.
His first step as branch-chief was the establishment of a junior sports school. In 1996 the Daido-Juku division was established inside the comprehensive junior sports school and 3 instructors started working there. In Russia comprehensive junior sports schools belong to the Federal Sports Committee and instructors and staff working there are paid their wages from municipal or territorial budget. In January 1997 the number of instructors increased to 10 people. In 1998 on the basis of the Daido-Juku division at comprehensive junior sports school, the independent Daido-juku junior sports school totally financed by government was founded. Now, 25 instructors assessed by the State Sport Committee, teaches more than 2000 kids between the ages of 7 to 18 .
Highest education bodies also revealed their interest to Daido-Juku. In 1999, the Vladivostok branch made an agreement with Far Eastern State University, according to which, the 3 of the most prospective students, willing to qualify for officially recognized instructor, every year may enter the university for free. In the first term three instructors became university students: Sivoplyas D.(2nd dan), Borodii U.(2nd dan), Grigoriev D.(1st dan).
In June 1999 the branch chief V. Osokin was elected as a member of territorial sports license committee. This body regulates the all sports activities in the territory of Primorie region. This committee has departments responsible for different sports, Osokin branch-chiefﾕs duty is to revise activity concerning all martial art sports (wrestling, sambo, judo, karate, boxing, etc.).
To bring the idea of Daido-Juku to more people he published the first Daido-Juku educational aid in Russian language in year 2000 . This book was published at the Far Eastern University printers. For his achievements in the field of sports he was awarded with the Russian State reward for development of sports (order No 53PR). In March 2001 he attended the National Conference of Sports Organizations of Russia.
Recently the Far Eastern State University took a course for development of social welfare and physical education and established a new college of sports and physical education. From September 2000 it opened a new specialty: sports instructor-karate Daido-Juku instructor. Now 3 senior instructors from Vladivostok branch teach Daido-Juku at highest educational bodies:
Semipyatnov O. (1st dan) - Vladivostok State University of Economy and Service
Boev V. (1st dan) - Pacific Navy University
Sivoplyas D. (2nd dan) - Far Eastern State University
In 2000 the board of directors for Vladivostok branch was established. The vice-governor of Primorie territory is heading it. He visited Japan last year and attended Hokutoki tournament where he was granted a black belt of honor from the hands of Azuma-jukuchou.
The population of Dado-Juku Vladivostok branch faithfully follows the ideas of Azuma-jukuchou trying to bring them to life. They do their best to introduce the valuable Daido-Juku doctrine to more people and bring up physically and mentally strong moral members of our society.

I deeply regret that the Budo, which is so valued and recognized as educational method abroad, in Japan is being referred as simply fierce entertainment.
